CDTA Membership Levels

  • is a person 16 years of age and older, who has paid the requisite annual membership fee
  • receives information regarding CDTA activities
  • may advertise as a “CDTA Affiliate”
  • will receive member discounted prices on syllabi, music and videos
  • may attend workshops and courses at the discounted member rates
  • may take advantage of our SOCAN and RE:Sound agreements
  • may take advantage of our Health and Dental Insurance Plan
  • may remain an affiliate for an unlimited amount of time
  • may choose to become a Pre-Associate and participate in a Professional Examination to become and Associate or Licentiate
  • may attend meetings
  • is a person 16 years of age and older, who has paid the requisite annual membership fee
  • receives information regarding CDTA activities
  • Is studying to obtain professional accreditation in CDTA and is eligible to enter for a professional exam at age 18 years of age and over upon completion the requirements to become an Associate or Licentiate
  • may enter students in examination up to and including Grade One in that discipline for a period of two years.
  • may advertise as a CDTA Pre-Associate”
  • will receive member discounted prices on syllabi, music and videos
  • may attend workshops and courses at the discounted members rates
  • may take advantage of our SOCAN and Re:Sound agreements
  • may take advantage of our Health and Dental Insurance Plan
  • is a person 18 years and older, who successfully completed the requirements of a Division to become and Associate, and has paid the requisite annual membership fee
  • receives information regarding CDTA activities
  • may enter students in CDTA Student/Amateur Examinations at the Junior Levels, in the discipline in which they hold CDTA Certification
  • may be a member in more than one Division, but must successfully complete the membership requirements set by each Division.

  • may attend workshops and courses at the discounted members rates

  • may serve as a regional rep on a Divisional committee
  • is a person 21 years of age and older, with a minimum of threes years teaching experience, who has successfully completed the requirements of a Division to become a Licentiate, and has paid the requisite annual membership fee
  • receives information regarding CDTA activities
  • may enter students in CDTA Student/Amateur Examinations at all levels, in the discipline in which they hold CDTA certification
  • may be a member in more than one Division, but must successfully complete the membership requirements set by each Division
  • will receive member discounted prices on syllabi, music, and videos
  • may take advantage of our SOCAN and Re:Sound agreements
  • may attend workshops and courses at the discounted members rates

  • is a person 21 years of age and older who has successfully completed the requirements of a Division to become a Fellow, and has paid the requisite annual membership fee
  • receives information regarding CDTA activities
  • may enter students into examinations at all levels in the Division in which they hold CDTA certification
  • may be a member in more than one Division, but must successfully complete the membership requirements set by each Division

  • is a person 18 years of age or older who has successfully completed the requirements of the Ballroom Division to become a Student Teacher and paid the requisite annual membership fee

  • must take an Associate or Licentiate examination within two years of obtaining a Student Teacher certificate. An extension must be applied for in writing to the Executive Board, giving reason

■ is not eligible to serve as a Director on the board

■ may advertise their patronage of the Association as “CDTA Patron”
