Steps to Achieving Tap Associate/Licentiate Professional Qualification

  • Submit your application to join CDTA as a Pre-Associate (add Link to application)

  • Download and review the Professional Exam Handbook, available in the members only section of our website.

  • Begin study of technical training. Materials are available through our online shop and our CDTA Education Centre. (Syllabus, teacher development courses and Intensives)

  • Click below to complete the entry form once you have completed your technical training.

  • Submit your required class videos & written material as required. (Minimum of 2 weeks prior to your exam date.)

  • Exam Day! Meet with examiner for final assessment and evaluation.

Requirements for professional certification are available in the members only area of the website.  You will be able to access and view our professional exam study guides (“Manuals”) in the discipline and level of your choice (these are titled either Associate Manuals Or Licentiate Manuals). Each outlines any courses you are required to take, any written work you need to prepare, and all requirements for future examination.
